Constantinople and The Splendor of Ottoman Palaces

From İstanbul you can only rave about. Some are fascinated by Ottoman splendor,palaces and homes, others are overwhelmed by the history of Constantinople with the crown of magnificent Hagia Sophia. Or you can be attracted by the modern,dynamic,colorful night life of the big metropole.

8 Days 7 Nights
Day 1 : Arrival to İstanbul, transfer to your hotel. BB in İstanbul.

Day 2 : Our sight seeing starts with the old imperial part of the town . Old fortress, Galata bridge, Golden Horn, The imperial town ,Hippodrome, Blue mosque,Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern will be visited.
Optional: Dinner on the Golden Horn – meat specials.

Day 3 : Visit the Ottoman Palace of Topkapı, experiance the treasury of the Orient, while exploring the harem section listen stories of 1001 nights. Lunch at the Palace Cafe overlooking to the breathtaking view of Bosphorous and Marmara sea.Through tulip gardens on foot arrive to İst. Archeological Museum to see the selected items of antiquity.Walking down hill arrive to famous Orient Express train station. Stop for tea. Passing through the busy section of Eminönü arrive to Egyptian Bazaar, the main hub for spices, your guie will advise you for the best shopping for spices, good turkish coffee and dried fruits and nuts.
Optional : After dinner stroll at Beyoğlu and enjoy a marvellous view of Bosphorous and golden horn from a skyscraper cafe.

Day 4 : Visit to 16th century maison to see the Turkish and İslamic art museum. Enjoy the view of Hippodrome and Blue mosque from the terrace while having your tea. Walk through the narrow alleys of old town to arrive Sokollu Mehmet Paşa mosque, masterpiece of Sinan.
Next stop is Sergio and Bacchus church – today a mosque.We end our tour with Chora Church, where you will be seeing world famous late Byzantine mosaics from Old and New Testament. Then visit the church patriachs.
Optional : After dinner opportunity to experiance a Tukish hamam for relaxation.

Day 5 : Visit to the last residence of Ottoman Sultan’s Dolmabahce Palace with 365 rooms and 22 saloons.Famous with the great collection of European antiquity,4.5 tons chandelier and largest carpet.After the visit we take a boat trip to Prince’s Islands,spend the afternoon in leisure.
Optional : Dinner at Kumkapı – grilled fish , different meze’s, rakı and music.

Day 6 : Visit to Pera, old Genovese district. After tea break stroll through old Jewish neighborhood, St. George Hospital, Galata bridge.Boat trip on the Bosphorus-on the most important waterway of the world, most striking panaroma of the two continents.

Day 7 : Grand Bazaar or drive to the modern part of the city for more stylish shopping.

Day 8 : Transfer to İstanbul airport.
