Golden Horn Tour

Pick up from your hotel or cruise ship port in the morning. Visit the Mosque of Suleyman the Magnificent, the largest mosque in Istanbul built in the 16th century by the great architect Sinan, and dominating the Golden Horn. After passing from old and traditional neighborhoods of Istanbul, visit the Saint Saviour in Chora, known as Kariye Museum today, famous for its wonderful mosaics from the Byzantine period. Following the ancient city walls, you reach the Caffe Pierre Loti sitting on a hill with fantastic views of the Golden Horn, where you can taste some Turkish black tea or Turkish coffee. In the afternoon climb on Galata Tower, built by Genovese in the 14th century, to admire the 360-degrees views of the old city and Istanbul. Wonder in the tiny streets around Galata tower, especially the Pera neighborhood, where the 19th century Pera Palace hotel is. Transfer back to your hotel or ship at the end of the day.
