History: Deriş is one of the oldest institutions in Turkey focusing on intellectual property law and dates back to 1912.The Deriş Attorney Partnership offers fast and reliable consultancy and attorney services for the settlement of domestic and international disputes in the fields of brand, patent, industrial design and other intellectual and industrial property related areas. When Celal Derviş founded the Deriş Law Firm in Istanbul in 1912, he was mainly offering services in commercial law, brand and patent registration and brand rights infringement. In time, the Deriş Law Firm started to play a more active role in the protection of intellectual and industrial property rights. The son of Celal Bey, Etem Derviş Deriş, focused on enhancing the expertise on unfair competition and protection of intellectual and industrial property rights upon taking over the duty from his father. The next generation, M. N. Aydın Deriş, Etem Deriş’s son, transformed the Deriş Attorney Partnership from a small office run by two attorneys to a modern, dynamic and ethically-committed partnership with 12 expert attorneys.
The Deriş family have played a leading role in the professional solidarity of national and international organizations in Turkey for four generations and continue that100 year history by leading and contributing to the formation of intellectual property law in Turkey.
