Many doctors in Turkey speak English. In İstanbul visitors can find world-class hospitals and medical facilities. In an emergency dail 444 09 11.

Pharmacies are independently owned and can be found in almost every neighborhood. For minor problems, it’s customary to consult pharmacies. Pharmacies offer services such as blood pressure measurement, the cleaning and bandaging minor wounds, injections and general medication consultation. There are emergency (nöbetçi) pharmacies in every neighborhood which are open late night and on Sundays.
