The Istanbul Toy Museum (Istanbul Oyuncak Müzesi) is located in a five-story historical residence which once belonged to the family of the poet and writer Sunay Akın, opened in 2005.

The museum exhibits over four thousand toys from all around the world and from different periods of time. Each room in the museum is designed in a different scenery, it is possible to rediscover objects and moments from one’s lost childhood.

In addition to its exhibitions the museum offers various creative workshops for children on topics such as ceramics, origami, mosaics, and puppets.

You can take bus numbers 10B , 10S , 14Ç , 17 , 17L , 19F , 19M , 19S to Göztepe Station; buses GZ1,GZ2 to ” Tütüncü Mehmet Efendi Camii” station; and buses ER1, ER2 to “Erenköy İstasyonu” station.
