The Istanbul Toy Museum (Istanbul Oyuncak Müzesi) is located in a five-story historical residence which once belonged to the family of the poet and writer Sunay Akın, opened in 2005.

The museum exhibits over four thousand toys from all around the world and from different periods of time. Each room in the museum is designed in a different scenery, it is possible to rediscover objects and moments from one’s lost childhood.

In addition to its exhibitions the museum offers various creative workshops for children on topics such as ceramics, origami, mosaics, and puppets.

From the Atatürk Airport Take the Shuttle Havataş and go to Kadıköy (Asian Side). Take the public bus GZ 1, GZ 2 or 17 and get off at Göztepe stop. From Taksim (1)   .Take the public bus 112 (Taksim – Kadıköy) Get off at Göztepe bus stop, and walk through the Göztepe Petrol Office (2)   .Take yellow mini-bus called “dolmuş” directed to Ziverbey Get off at Göztepe Petrol Office.
