Şehzade Taksim was first opened in 1990 in Sehzadebaşi as a cafe, but later began a new life in Taksim as a restaurant. It has two separate sections – “Şehzade Salon” and “Şehzade Teras” – each with its own particular menu and decor.
With an emphasis on Turkish and Ottoman cuisine, it has a number of special dishes such as its hünkar beğendi, beef with pistachio wrapped in grape leaves, tandoori soup, and lamb chops. Its fried güllaç is one of its most loved dishes. With Fasıl music on special nights, Şehzade Taksim also offers valet service.
