St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral is the largest Catholic church in Istanbul with the largest congregation and it is located on İstiklal Avenue. The cathedral was opened to service in 1912 and each year it hosts big crowds for Christmas. The Christmas service on 24 December consists of six sessions and the opening ceremony will be at 20:00 with Christmas Carols. At 21:00, the program will continue with The Nativity. On 25 December at 10:00 there will be a service in English, at 10:30 in Polish, at 11:30 in Italian and finally at 18:00 in Turkish. The New Year’s Service will be on 31 December at 19:00. Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God service will be in four languages on 1 January. On 5 January, Epiphany Eve service will start with the Holy Mass at 19:00 and Children’s Hymns at 20:00. The last day in this series will be 6 January, when the church will conduct services in four languages for the Epiphany.
