Originally the site of the Dolmabahçe Palace’s kitchens, this unique space was converted into a “Warehouse Museum” in 2006 in order to exhibit the many objects found in storage around the palace.
After years of restoration work and use as an office and storage space, the site was officially opened to visitors as the Palace Collections Museum in 2011.
The Museum’s collections are made up of over 40,000 objects of daily life taken from the palace. The museum, which exhibits what life was once like in the palace, also has a separate storage area accessible to experts and researchers.
