Sónar, the festival of advanced music, creativity and technology which started in Barcelona in 1994 and has celebrated editions around the world since 2002, will come to Turkey’s Zorlu PSM for the first time on March 24th and 25th, 2017.

A pioneering festival that takes the pulse of the most advanced trends in electronic music and brings together the leading names in digital art through sessions and exhibitions, Sónar is considered a global phenomenon that has travelled all around the world, taking place in cities such as Reykjavik, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Buenos Aires, New York, London, Cape Town, Frankfurt, Seoul, Lisboa, Lyon, Hamburg, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Boston, Denver, Oakland, Los Ángeles, Tokio or Osaka.

Sónar İstanbul line-up includes; Moderat, the project of Modeselektor and Apparat, two prominent figures of Berlin’s electronic music scene; Róisín Murphy, the Irish pop queen who, with her solo career, has carried on the success she enjoyed at the end of 90s and the beginning of 2000s with her band Moloko; Nina Kraviz, global techno ambassador; Floating Points, German DJ and producer DJ Koze, who combines various genres such as techno, tech house, minimal techno and hip-hop; the English producer who interprets music through various genres; The Dutch electronic music duo Weval, who has left its mark on last year with their debut album on the Kompakt label; Kode9, the iconic dubstep producer and founder of Hyperdub; Prins Thomas, the Norwegian representative of space disco; Clark, the electronic music producer who has established himself as a prominent figure of WARP Records; Nosaj Thing, a successful musician who combines hip-hop with electronic music; HONNE; Helena Hauff, who redefined techno and electro with her records done in one take; the English electronic soul duo that has reached huge success in a short time; HVOB, the dynamic techno duo from Austria; Tim Hecker, the Canadian musician and producer who has redefined drone, ambient, noise, glitch and experimental electronic music; Cola & Jimmu, the deep house project of renowned jazz musician Jimi Tenor and Nicole Willis.
