Located between Bebek and Rumeli Hisar in the neighborhood of Aşiyan Park, the Yılanlı Yalı was built toward the end of the 18th century. One of the most important yalıs on the Bosphorus, it is one of the most beautiful examples of Ottoman civil architecture. Damaged in a fire in 1964, it was purchased in 1989 and restored in a manner which preserved its original external appearance.
