Ulus 29 opened in 1993 and quickly became one of the most popular restaurants in Istanbul. It is now accepted as one of the classics. With its stylish decor designed by the world famous Zeynep Padılıoğlu, it dazes its guests with a view that takes in both of Istanbul’s major bridges. Ulus 29 is open every day for dinner from 18:30, and has a lunch service on weekdays between 12.00-15.00. Its menu is divided into three sections. The first is an avant garde section that includes new dishes as well as tastes from different cuisines prepared in new ways. The second section features classic selections from Turkish cuisine including pide and lahmacun, both cooked in a stone oven. The last section includes sushi specially prepared by the restaurant’s staff.
Ulus 29 also has a terrace bar and on Friday and Saturday evenings it hosts performances by well-known DJs.
